On this page we will try to provide you with some general information and policies that might be useful for you. We do appreciate your business and your time. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with enough information so you can decide if the vehicle presented on our web site is right for you.
Vehicle descriptions are based on the age of the car...normal wear and tear is usually not described.
We try our very best to provide you with as much information as possible. It is possible that we may miss something. We ask that you look at each picture and read all the information posted. Please assume nothing. If something does not look right or you need further information, such as more photos, give us a call or drop us an email.
Our visual inspection and test drive are not meant to take the place of a professional inspection. We are not mechanics, and we strongly advise that you always get a pre-purchase inspection on any vehicle you are about to purchase, be it ours or others. In most cases we do not have any prior maintenance history, but if we do, we will gladly pass that on to you. Mats, tire tools, proper working condition of CD or tape, number of speakers, exhaust or other performance modifications, etc., do not effect our pricing. If these items are important in your decision to purchase a car, please ask us so we can verify each item for you.
PROFESSIONAL INSPECTION:
Base on our experience Everyone's expectations on used vehicle are different. Something that looks good to us may look average to whomever is buying it. If you feel the need to have a vehicle inspected prior to purchase, here are you choices :
From what we have seen, Auto Critic does the most comprehensive inspection. If you decide on a dealer inspection, please call and make an appointment and pre-pay for the service. Give us a call with the service advisor's name/number and time, we will gladly take the vehicle to their facility for you.
We do not allow our vehicles to be touched by independent shops/mechanics. NO EXCEPTIONS.
LIMITED WARRANTY
As a service to our customers, we currently have a few warranty companies which offer an extended limited warranty / service contract on most of our vehicles. Please note the contract is between the buyer and the warranty company. There are also other warranty companies which you maybe able to purchase protection from. Purchasing a service contract on your vehicle is completely up to you, and it does not affect the selling price of our vehicles. We offer this for your convenience.
All warranties are for vehicles sold in the United States, and the coverage is valid for US only. Please refer to the warranty company's web site for complete details. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Normally all of our vehicles are sold AS-IS. The only exception is if the vehicle is still under the original manufacturers factory warranty. We may have that information, but we do not know all the warranty info from the manufacturer. This should not be mistaken for an extended limited warranty, which is referred to as a service contract.
TEST DRIVE
In order to protect are investment and yours we ask that you respect some conditions:

No test driving in the rain, snow, wet streets, or any major hazard conditions

Please ensure the vehicle appearance and price is to your satisfaction prior to driving

Test drive is limited to no more than 2 vehicles.

Maximum test drive time is 15 minutes. If the vehicle not back by then, it will be reported stolen.

We will need a copy of your valid drivers license and insurance card.

This is the most secure and efficient way of doing business these days.
If using blank loan checks (Capital One, E-Loan, etc., please ensure you FOLLOW the lender procedures. Some will permit purchase only from Franchise dealers or may have year or mileage limitation. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure you have been approved to purchase our vehicle.
We will need to be able to deposit the check immediately with 100% funds availability without any conditions PRIOR to us releasing the vehicle to you. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: ONLY BANK WIRE TRANSFER IS ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT MAIL ANY CHECKS. DO NOT SEND ANY PAYMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE PLACED THE VEHICLE ON HOLD.
SHIPPING / TRANSPORT:
Finding and arranging for your vehicle to be picked up and delivered is your responsibility.
You can obtain free estimates from these companies on the internet (search: vehicle transport). It is your responsibility to contact and verify their information. The transport company will do an extensive inspection of the vehicle prior to pick up. Any imperfection no matter how small will be noted. They don't want to be liable for anything. An imperfection could be as little as tip of pen or a major ding or scratch. These items will be marked the same on the inspection. The vehicle will leave our location clean, but there is a good chance it will be dirty when you get it, due to weather and road conditions.
NOTE: You must first place the vehicle on-hold, prior to arranging an inspection. This will ensure the vehicle is not sold to someone else while you are paying to have it inspected. We conduct business nationwide/worldwide, and at any given moment someone could send us an instant deposit to place a hold on the car, while they arrange the other logistics.
We will FULLY refund your deposit if the vehicle is found to have major engine / transmission problems. Normal wear and tear or items already announced are not covered.
IN PERSON VEHICLE PICK UP:
Vehicles can be picked up either at the time of purchase, or at a later date with prior notice. Due to our limited space, we ask that the vehicles be picked up within 7 days after purchase. Please contact us if you need additional time.
If you are coming from out of town, we can arrange to pick you up from the DFW or Love Field airports during normal business hours. Please contact us PRIOR to making your reservation.
HOLDING A VEHICLE:
We sell our vehicles on a first come, first serve basis. The only exception would be if there is a deposit to hold a vehicle. A NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $200 is charged to hold a vehicle for up to ONE WEEK. This fee is to cover our advertising cost if you decide not to purchase the vehicle. Otherwise it is applied towards the purchase price of the vehicle at the time of sale.
Please note, if you do not complete the transaction within the 7 day period mentioned above, we will place the vehicle back on the market and you forfeit your $200.
VEHICLE TITLE ISSUE
Our vehicles have clean titles. Clean title means there are no notations on the title...such as 'salvage' or reconditioned'.
All sales are subject to a $50 documentation fee and inventory tax (0.0024 x sales price).
TEXAS BUYERS: All the title work is done by us (dealership). Per state law we must collect the TT&L, and this will be added to the price of the vehicle.
Advertised prices do not include any TT&L. After the vehicle is registered to your name, you will receive your title from the State . If you are financing the vehicle, your title will be mailed to the lender and not you.
OUT-OF-STATE BUYERS: You will pay only our 'Documentation / Processing Fee' of $50 and will pay the TT&L in your own state. You will need to take steps to register your vehicle as soon as possible. Out-of-State buyers will receive their title from us usually within a day after the full payment has been received.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Title will need to be with the vehicle when going outside of USA.
Once you receive the title please take proper steps not to lose it. It is extremely difficult to replace a lost title. In the event the title is lost, the buyer will be responsible for all costs associated to obtain a duplicate copy.
TAGS / STICKERS / LICENSE PLATES / TEMPORARY TAG:
In the State of Texas, the license plates stay with the car (except personalized plates). For Texas residents, if there are no plates or registration sticker, we will issue a temporary tag while we do the title work for you and obtain new plates / tag for the car.
Out of State buyers, will receive a temporary dealer's plate ONLY if the vehicle does not have any plates or registration. Temporary tags are good for 21days from date of sale, and can not be re-issued.
For Texas buyers, all vehicles will have an inspection/emission sticker. In the event it does not or the sticker is expired, we will have the car inspected for you, and the fee will be added to your TT&L cost.
IMPORTANT: By federal and state laws, any vehicle 10 years or older will be listed as EXEMPT regardless of current miles.
